Floyd Called Himself the GREATEST EVER, he is wrong & SO WHAT! He is Still GREAT!!

Floyd can say what he wants to say. He is entitled to his own opinion.
But opinions are not facts, and facts along with stats is where ill judge floyd at.

Boxing is a sport that has a 125 year history. It is the oldest major surviving sport. No one can say they are the best ever without first explaining who the best fighters were from the begining of the sport until now. After they explain that, then they must explain how is it that the era they fought in was greater than the era that other fighters fought in.

The game has change, The rules have change, the fighters have change.
There is no agreeable standard inwhich we can really judge who the best fighter ever is.

Fighters are judged On How they dominated their eras and where they ranked in their era.

When you go into the HOF , it is not just the greatest fighters of all time. It is the greatest fighters who were the greatest in their time. It is a tribute to the boxers who have gone before, and to those who have strived to reach the standard their predecessors have set.

1.Floyd didnt fight in Ali Era
2.Floyd didnt Fight in SRR Era
3.Floyd didnt fight in SRL Era

You can only fairly judge him on how he stood in his era.

And in Floyd's Era He stood of top of the Mountain the longest.

When you dominated for 10 years straight.
When you becoming the first person to ever moved up 5 weight classes and win the offical titles in every weight class he went into while remaining UNDEFEATED that is amazing.

There has to be some credit given for constantly being excellent at what you do.

Because guess what?, being consistant is the hardest thing about being great !!!

Look at the Lakers and Look at the Pistons! What's the difference?
Look at the Yankee's and Look at Red Sox's! What's the difference?

    "Consistency"

FLOYD MAYWEATHER = The most consistantly GREAT Fighter in this era.period!

No up and downs, JUST UP'S !!
NO DRAWS, NO GETTING OUTBOXED, Just winning !!! JUST WINNING !!!
    At a high level.

Recognize greatness, and when you recognize it, appreciate It.!

So floyd can say what he wants about being the best ever, that is bull****..Because he can not physically proved that inside the ring or out of it.

But what he can do is keep WINNING, and keep WINNING at a high level
and what you can not do is deny his greatness!!

Floyd appreciating Pacquiao greatness has nothing to do with the fight not happening.

You trying to convince eveybody else or yourself? I don't disagree that Floyd is a great fighter, one of the best, but when you open your mouth, you have an obligation to the fans and to the sport, to consistently challenge yourself. You call yourself the best all you want, but show us, don't tell us! Yeah he didn't fight in the Ali era, SRR era, SRL era, but this a different era with many greats around, that have yet to be faced.

Horus Floyd is GREAT...but he can also be great-er.

Hes letting Pac pass him up.

Pac is not ****ing around. Hes going to fight Clottey, Marg and maybe Mosley by the end of 2010.

Floyd needs to do SOMETING now..if he does not want to be overshadowed by Pac.

He is obviously a great fighter. What sucks is that he was great in divisions at the wrong time.

Loads of great fighters he missed out on fighting. Casamayor, Morales, Barrera, Pacquiao, Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, etc.
