Truthfully, I don't like De La Hoya, I personally think he's a *****, BUT I do see that he is helping many rural areas and the Latino up and comers by signing them to Golden Boy and I'm all for the Latino Community as a whole. But as a boxer I have no respect for him, you need heart to be a boxer and he sold his a long time ago...
    Sold his heart... freakin A

Avoiding fighters?? hmmm....Ike Quartay, Tito Trinidad, Shane Mosley, Arturo Gatti all in a span of 6 fights...yeah sure. He's a figther in his 30's, and in the modern era once fighters get into this stage of thier carrers they are more selective. After all, it is a business. He's going to try and unify this summer against a very good opponent. Good luck to him. Oh, and by the way you HAVE NO CREDIBILTY...all your posts are skewed and dripping of biased crap. It's true i hate Trinidad,(mostly because fans like you) but i wouldn't be so ignorant not to give him his props and recognize that he is one the sports biggest stars.

Tito probably wanted more money cause he "WON" the 1st fight and Oscar proably wanted more money cause hes the biggest draw besides Tyson (in that time). Im 100% sure no boxer avoids a fighter cause their scared of them. Its either cause of money or cause the fight is a low weward high risk fight. I rather be Oscar (the 5th highest paid althelete in all sports) than be a Vargas whos trying to make cell phones to get money, its just my opinion. Anyways why would Oscar be scared to face Tito if Tito didnt do great damage to say "godamn im scared". Oscar faught Vargas, Mosley , Castillejo and Bernard who are fighters who are dangerous as well as Tito. **** he faught Bernard whos in a different class than Tito and literaly ****d him in their fight. So in conclusion ya must remember the reason people box is cause of the most important thing in life $$$$$$$ DINERO $$$$$$$$$$$$
...........Finally the voice of reason! Excellent post. Right on the money.

          True enough

It's true...the Tito fans always have thier reasons to make excuses.

          ROLE PLAY

"Tito beat Oscar becuase Oscar ran."

Reasonable Boxing Fan: "True that Oscar moved and decided not to engage Tito for the last 4 rounds. Yet can you explain how Tito looked so lost and thoroughly outclassed in the first 8 rounds?

Tito Fan: "Tito tried to hit Oscar, but Oscar would just hit and move...it's not Tito's fault that Oscar was moving around the ring."

Reasonable Boxing Fan "Hmmmm..that sounds like Oscar was selective with his punches and using a strategy to neutralize Tito's one dimensional style. This is boxing after all right?"

Tito Fan: Uh..uh... BUT OSCAR RAN!!!!

Reasonable Boxing Fan: Okay whatever, nice trying to have an analytical and reasoned conversation about the fight with you. You suck... Tito did nothing to WIN the fight. Cong****, and enjoy your GOD.

Tito Fan: "I'm gald you finally see it my way"

You got a point in that I'm biased towards PR fighters. Nonetheless I try to be as objective as possible and post against PR fighters when IMO they would lose. Nonetheless, I will always want them to win. Regarding the other thing, I do recall that Papa Trinidad said after the fight that the contract for the rematch was easy, put Tito's name where it said DLH and viceversa. This meant, like I said at the begining, that Tito would make a lot more money than DLH. I think that could have been worked out and that DLH avoided the fight because he would have to fight and not run in rematch in order to maintain his value. Chicken or Warrior?

First and foremost tito4life216 is a ****ing dumbass and needs to shut the **** up....second of all if you want to talk about chickens look at your own fighters, Tito has only fought one legit middleweight in Hopkins and got knocked the **** out, and if Oscar was scared then why the **** would he fly out to PR to get Tito outta retirement, and Cotto is a ****ing joke thinking he can fight at 140 when he clearly starves to death to make weight having to get weighed 4 times to make weight and then coming in 17 pounds over 140(only in Puerto Rico), and he stiiiiilllllll got rocked by chop chop, a true jr. welterweight. And then he has the nerve to call out the winner of Castillo-Corrales, get the **** outta here....Tito and Cotto are some great fighters but until they beat some true middleweights(Tito) and stop fighting guys that are clearly to small for them(Cotto) Im waiting to see if they are true champs....And in closing, I feel sorry for you PRs that rep latinos the right way, I got friends that are PR and they dont ****ride a fighter or person just cause they are PR.

P.S. **** Boricua Organization, the only guy in your organization that has any sense is the gay guy.

I guess I saw an edited remake of the fight. The one I saw showed a DLH always going back and Tito putting pressure ("tito did nothing to win the fight?"). A DLH that would put a distance of at least a meter between him and Tito and that was during the DLH aggression rounds because in the last rounds not even the referee was near. A DLH that would make a pain face whenever Tito would run fast enough to catch up with DLH and hit him. A DLH that knew that Tito gets stronger in the late rounds and that he runs out of gas. I can agree that Tito is a puncher and DLH is a boxer/puncher (less power than Tito but respectfull power)and that DLH has more skills/weapons than Tito but that does not mean anything when fighters of different styles fight each other.

Oscar moving BACK...ahhhhhhh okay...moving side to side in a latteral motion does NOT constitute moving BACK as in backwards. DLH made a "face" every time he got hit?" hmmm.... okay at least he didn't buckle like Tito did in the 3rd after a 1-2. THIS IS BOXING MAN, GOOD GOD! Let me define it for you: hitting the opponent while avoiding getting hit in return. Scoring more effective blows and dictating the tempo and flow of the fight. GOT IT you biased Tito fan! (still got love 4 u though).

I think what you describe here applies to what Hokins did not DLH. Hopkins fought Tito and outboxed/confused him, DLH outrunned Tito and confused him because Tito thought it was the fight of the millenium not the marathon of the millenium.

I second the first motion. Joppy was a sucky middleweight, but i still count him as a legitiment middlewieght opponent. These Tito lovers can call other fighters gutless and heartless, but if you say that tito is one-demensional or that Cotto is unproven...they call you haters.... Freakin A man they annoy me to the ^10th.
