Manny fighting Clottey and the rest of the welterweights, including Margarito is comparable to Floyd fighting Paul Williams. Actually, it would be more like Floyd fighting PW at 154.

But instead he's going after L Welters like Cambell and Malignaggi... why??

I didnt say a thing about pacquiao, imo pacquiao is just as big as a fraud for screwing up the fight with floyd. But please dont tell me you think floyd being undefeated means he is better then pacquiao, that really means nothing to me.

Im not looking in the past right now, I know floyd is one of the great with all he has accomplished. Right now though he is a joke.
Floyd can say what he wants to say. He is entitled to his own opinion.
But opinions are not facts, and facts along with stats is where ill judge floyd at.

Boxing is a sport that has a 125 year history. It is the oldest major surviving sport. No one can say they are the best ever without first explaining who the best fighters were from the begining of the sport until now. After they explain that, then they must explain how is it that the era they fought in was greater than the era that other fighters fought in.

The game has change, The rules have change, the fighters have change.
There is no agreeable standard inwhich we can really judge who the best fighter ever is.

Fighters are judged On How they dominated their eras and where they ranked in their era.

When you go into the HOF , it is not just the greatest fighters of all time. It is the greatest fighters who were the greatest in their time. It is a tribute to the boxers who have gone before, and to those who have strived to reach the standard their predecessors have set.

1.Floyd didnt fight in Ali Era
2.Floyd didnt Fight in SRR Era
3.Floyd didnt fight in SRL Era

You can only fairly judge him on how he stood in his era.

And in Floyd's Era He stood of top of the Mountain the longest.

When you dominated for 10 years straight.
When you becoming the first person to ever moved up 5 weight classes and win the offical titles in every weight class he went into while remaining UNDEFEATED.

There has to be some credit given for constantly being excellent at what you do.

Because guess what, being consistant is the hardest thing about being great !!!

FLOYD MAYWEATHER = The most consistantly GREAT Fighter in this era.
      period!

NO DRAWS, NO GETTING OUTBOXED, Just winning !!! JUST WINNING !!!
      At a high level.

Recognize greatness, and when you recognize it, appreciate It.!

Every great legendary hall of fame fighter has losses, has draws, has cuts, has times where he gets outboxed. THAT MEANS SOMETHING. IT IS PROOF THAT YOU WERE CHALLENGED & YOU TOOK ON CHALLENGES.

Chavez Sr. at one time was 80 something wins with zero losses. Chavez jr. is undefeated. Joe Calzaghe is undefeated.

            THEY JUST WIN!!!!!

They also have more wins than mayweather. Why dont you consider them the greatest of our ERA HORUS?

            UNDEFEATED RECORDS = SU****IOUSNESS.

Being a true all time great means learning how to win after losing. Not by staying undefeated.

yeah i think floyd is great and all... but should i still consider him great with those skill set being used against a bloated JMM and coming in overweight?

you call other boxers 'not a draw' as an excuse not to fighting them?

                  uhmmm... wtf ?!
