If Floyd said yes to Pwill I would immediately change my increasingly negative tune about Mayweather. Win, lose, draw, collapse in the first round, I would be the first to parade PBF's balls from the rooftops and reevaluate his decidedly light choices of the last number of years.

1) Cotto v Pac = cash cows from the same stable. Top Rank did it.
2) Floyd's his OWN man. He makes the choices.
3) Floyd's a huge draw. He would take the lion's share of the PPV take and purse.
4) Floyd's the best P4P and in his last fight came in at 149lbs on WEIGH IN!!!
5) Pwill would give Floyd HUGE respect within the fight community and outside.
6) Floyd's other options for this time frame are mediocre at best.
7) Floyd has a small number of fights left to cap his career. Malignaggi? Really?

Floyd needs to take this fight. There are no other legit welters available for march. If he goes and fights a Jr. welter when Pcman is fighting a legit welter that will make floyd look even more like a cherry picker and lose alot of bargaining power. As for all you people claiming Williams shouldn't be fighting at 147 just shut up already. The guy fought at Welter for years and the only reason he moved up in weight is because no one would fight him at 147, he did not move up bacause he couldn't make weight. For Most of his Welterweight fights he came in at 145.5 or 146. I don't remember one instance where he was over weight at weigh in and had to sweat off a pound or so like alot of people have to do.
