You and I both know that rankings are scewed in the favor of fighters controlled by a sanctioning bod.now on to Hamed the man was in his prime when he fought Barrera and was a betting favorite but Barrera right from the get go out classed and outskilled him and instead of fighting other top comp of the time he decided to fight a bum and retire,thats why he will never be regarded by me as a great champ he is the equivilant of vic darchinyan.

I can speak as someone who actually has followed Naseem Hamed's career and nobody who's also followed his career would claim that he was somehow in his prime.


Hamed's performances from 1998-2001 were average and not up to part with his performances from 1995-1997.
