Ivan Calderon vs Brian Viloria in April

A proposed unification is being setup in April between WBO light flyweight champion Ivan ‘Iron Boy’ Calderon (33-0-1, 6 KOs) and IBF light flyweight champion Brian Viloria (26-2,15 KOs). There has been talk for quite awhile of the two squaring off as it is the biggest fight that can be made in their division currently. Aside from that the two have a history going back to their amateur days where they each enjoyed success by defeating one another. No exact date or venue has been named as of yet due to Viloria having an upcoming title defense against Carlos Tamara (20-4, 14 KOs) in the Philippines January 23rd.

I've been hearing about this ever since he won his belt from Solis and yet its taken ages. A fight against Calderon or Nino, i would only believe it when it gets signed.

What do you think about this one Champ?

Viloria hasn't been choking when it's counted lately like he used to do, and Calderon is getting older.

Interested to hear your thoughts on it.

Viloria being a notorious choker in big fights like this, i expect calderon, who has slipped alot to still outwork Brian. I like viloria but i just dont see a reason why he wins unless he lands a big shot, in which case calderon has slipped further than i thought.

The smart money would say Calderon but Viloria landed as big a shot as they come right when he needed it most on pretty much a do or die fight for him so anything is possible.
