The thing is, what was GBP going to do with Cotto that Arum hasn't already done?

They attempted to get a fight with Mayweather after both won their fights (Hatton, Mosley) and Floyd retired. Margarito was the next best option as far as being a top dog in the division goes.

Cotto just fought the #1 Fighter in the World in Pacquiao, and simply lost.

****, Shane Mosley (one of the WW champs) can't even get a fight with Mayweather and he's a shareholder of GBP.

I think Cotto to this point has fought everyone that's made sense besides Mayweather. Not sure what else GBP would've done because they weren't going to be paying him this insane amount of money more than what Bob has already paid and will pay him until he retires.

You guys blind hatred for everything Arum/Pacquiao really F's up your judgment. Cotto versus Foreman is a great fight for Cotto to get back into the spotlight. Look at 154. Foreman is a featherfisted champ. Spinks is a featherfisted champ. Cotto could conceivably get 2 of the 154 straps and maybe a 3rd from the WBO. All of this would line Cotto up with another mega fight. Possibly a Paul Williams at 154. What is Cotto going to do at 147? I'll answer it for you since you all are to locked up in Arum hate to think rationally. He can't do NOTHING at 147 because the big fights and names are already playing ball with someone else.

This is a great fight for Cotto to get back on the front page.

I disagree with you here burner. Easy fight for cotto.
Cotto ain't the same guy. Foreman is bigger and will be heavier then Margarito whether he hits hard or not Cotto doesn't do good against big guys. I got Foreman by DEC.

In his FIRST fight at a new weight after a devasting KO. Why would that piece of **** Arum put the 5-6" Cotto in there with a 5-11, 170 Pound Southpaw in his first 154 Pound fight?

I don't think this is that bad a fight to come back with. LMW is definitely a weaker division than WW apart from a couple of names (Martinez and Williams) and Cotto is a naturally heavier guy now so the move up in weight might not be a bad thing. My main with Cotto's return will be that Joe Santiago will still be in his corner which effectively means Cotto will be running his own camp and will again not be receiving any useful advise in his corner during the fight.

            Cotto ducks no one.

Cotto will beat the **** out of Yuri Foreman and dedicate the win to his late father.

            RIP Cotto Sr.

how do you know what arum hopes will happen? stfu with the ****** conspiracy theories.

if anything it looks like arum keeps helping cotto out by giving him big fights that will earn him some good money and spotlight. arum has done an excellent job with cotto, just look where he's taken him. cotto is a big name in the sport and he had his chance against pacquiao thanks to arum.

top rank deserves more credit and respect. i hope he stays with top rank till he retires.

Cotto makes a lot more money for Bob Arum than yuri foreman does, nor does yuri foreman have potential to be as big as a star as Cotto.

                  Arum knows what he's doing.

As for the fight, I will bet you all of my points, to all of your points (yes that's right) that Cotto will beat foreman. deal?

Last I checked, Cotto was one of the biggest, richest and most famous boxers in the world.

Top Rank brought him along great. Its not Arum's fault Cotto is done.

                    Arum is a great promoter.

Miguel Cotto is 29 years old and has been fighting for World Titles and in our living rooms since 2004. He has been in 16 World Title Fights since 2004 going 14-2. That is over 3 WORLD TITLE FIGHTS A YEAR! He has made amazing money!

Help me out for a second....What has Top Rank done wrong? What could GBP have done better?
