Floyd is not an ATG. ATG's get to be what they are because of who and how they fight.

Fighting Nate Campbell and JMM is not what an ATG would do.

Fighting bigger stronger men and beating them is what an ATG does.

I would have been disapointed in Floyd fighting Malignaggi, but atleast its understandable for a march 13th date to stay busy and tunup for a mosley/berto fight in the summer.

Nate Campbell in april? Whos gonna buy that? And what is the point?
be objective then. whats the point of pac-clottey? other than that top rank has both sides? pac also could have waited 2 weeks to see who wins berto-mosley. clottey is a heavy bag with feet in this fight. He will throw 5 punches and 2 headbutts per round, and maybe trip and fall a few times as well. This fight is junk and the only thing people can say is that "clottey is a true WW". well so what? so is Baldomir. Personally as a fan i would rather see pac-judah

He's an ATG, alright, but with a clause, that he ducked fighter who can give him trouble. Don't quote me on this coz majority of the fight fans thinks this way.

Zaveck is a titleholder at welterweight. Not a sexy name but neither is Nate Campbell for this fight.
Zaveck got the title from Hlatshwayo. A fighter you might remember.
I remember Hlatshwayo well. He weighed between 158-162 in the ring when Nate fought him. Guy was friggin huge. Funeka type huge. He lost his size advantage though when he moved up to WW........

            Big Difference Bro!

Clottey is not only a TOP FIVE WW he has legitimate size advantage over Pac and at the least has a puncher's chance....

Nate on the other hand is not a WW last good/great fight was at LW a year or two ago and he does not enjoy any advantages over mayweather whatsoever, this will be a copy of the JMM fight with a bonus KO...

            Floyd fans are getting scrwed!!

Pac is fighting a legit top 5 Welter that gave most of the other Top Welters problems. If Pac were to stop Clottey that would be huge. That's why the fight is so interesting.

The reason why Pac probably didn't wait for Mosley/Berto winner is because the likelihood of Pac fighting either one over another GBP fighter (Floyd) is slim.

He'd be stuck in a tough spot if he waited for Mosley only to have Floyd to get the fight. Arum probably thought it was too risky to wait and made the Clottey fight.

              That's my take.

If you think Mayweather is gonna be ****** enough to gamble away the kind of money Pacquiao/ Shane could bring; by facing bigger threats in Sergio Martinez/ Paul Williams then...

                We'll agree to disagree.

I could care less if Mayweather faces Nate Campbell. It's better then waiting for May 1st.

Pacquiao needed a fight for march so he could go back to his political run after that. He cant wait for Mosley/Berto and fight in May/June.
Clottey is a tough fighter and a top welterweight. Do i think the fight will be great? Probably not. But im not a Pacquiao fan either. It is however a legitimate opponent for someone supposed to be a top welter.

I would also rather see Pac vs Judah.

You are biased in all this. You have to understand that it is frustrating as a Mayweather fan to see him fight yet another lightweight. And one with no shot in hell. You will likely profit from this fight happening. I and the fans wont.

Lol, you mean the prime welterweight who arguably beat Cotto, compared to the guy who got his wish granted by getting an NC against Bradley, because he was getting the rolljob put on him by a younger, prime, slick fighter?

I mean... Clottey is probably a more legitimate welterweight opponent than Campbell to be honest.
