Pac is fighting a legit top 5 Welter that gave most of the other Top Welters problems. If Pac were to stop Clottey that would be huge. That's why the fight is so interesting.

The reason why Pac probably didn't wait for Mosley/Berto winner is because the likelihood of Pac fighting either one over another GBP fighter (Floyd) is slim.

He'd be stuck in a tough spot if he waited for Mosley only to have Floyd to get the fight. Arum probably thought it was too risky to wait and made the Clottey fight.

He will throw 5 punches and 2 headbutts per round, and maybe trip and fall a few times as well. The point of Pac-Clottey is to give the boxing fans the elast he can do for the disappointment that they (Mayweather) both created not a stay-busy fight.

And besides, why would PBF wants to stay busy? If there is no one available at this time, why cant he wait for May?

Staying busy is better then not. As long as it isn't PPV, I could care less. I've expressed in the past that Mayweather needs to stay busy. He's in that point in time where overall he's most likely on the decline.

again, not true. Clottey beat Zab Judah, he was beating Antonio Margarito EASILY IMO, until he broke his hand, and still Margarito looked awful against him, and he looked very good vs. Cotto when they fought. You're making Clottey out to be some middle of the road journeyman, when he deserves every bit of his top 5 ranking at welterweight, while Nate's biggest win in a while was to Juan Diaz, and that fight was close at 135, nevermind he'll be fightin at 147.

You're just diggin yourself deeper. Floyd fighting Zab Judah a second time would be a better fight than fighting Nate.

Nate should go back to 135 where he is still viable, nothing against him but 147? come on, everyone and their mother knows fighting there, vs. a guy like Floyd and charging fans on tv and the gate is nothing short of robbery.
