Your thread is not about whether the fight meant anything or was it worth anything. You were trying to imply that Oscar was drained because of Manny. Even though Oscar was the one that came up with the weight stipulations or catchweight. That's not Manny's fault and it certainly wasn't Manny's fault that Oscar did not rehydrate either. Could it have made a difference, probably, probably not. But to discredit Manny for that fight even after going up two weight classes himself is a bit ridiculous and prejudice.

not really.
bynum might not be as killed as bosh but he is bigger and tougher to match up with.
a lot of teams have an athletic 6-9 , 6-10 guy that can somewhat guard bosh. you can even put tall small forwards on him.
not many teams have a strong 7-1 guy that can guard bynum.
for what the lakers have bynum is a better fit than bosh imo.
he lets pau go to power forward.
bosh and bynum is like apples and oranges.Comment

Again, that's not even my point. My opinion is that Oscar would lose to Pacquiao, even at 154. Would he fight him at the weight? Who knows. Maybe not. But Pacquiao would beat him just as badly as he did at WW. Disagree all you want. It's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
The difference in Oscar and Foreman is this: Fighting Oscar is a worthwhile risk from a business standpoint. You cannot argue with that. A fight with Oscar meant a huge payday and great publicity. It's been brilliant for Pacquiao since beating DLH.
The Oscar fight -- no matter what you think of it -- was a move worth making, even if Pacquiao had lost.

Nah, cause we knew the Mayweather-Marquez fight was a joke before it even started. Anyone with eyes can see Marquez was very close to being out of his depth even at 135, so it was obvious he'd fail miserably at WW.
Oscar was supposed to beat the hell out of Pacquiao within a few rounds, some said he'd be KO'd in the first round, and no matter how anyone slices it, to me, Pacquiao's win is still impressive. I don't care what anyone says. The performance itself and the execution of the game plan was beautiful.

I love ****sexuals like you who say Marquez was out of his depth at 135 when he moved up into the division and KO'd the top 2 guys in that division, 2 guys that had never been KO'd before. Were they close fights? Yes. Did he struggle at times? Sure. But did he come back and put out the top 2 guys and unify the division in 2 fights? He sure did. He was going to move up to 140 after that anyway. It's just a shame Floyd came in 2 pounds heavy because I think the public was really starting to give the fight a shot around that time.Nah, cause we knew the Mayweather-Marquez fight was a joke before it even started.
