Floyd agreed to fight the Undisputed Champion Judah in 2006. Not his fault that Judah lost to Baldomir. He beat them both! Revionist history says that Baldomir was terrible but back them people thought Floyd was afraid to fight him because he was a big welter. Just check the Baldomir Gatti fight and listen to Merchant

Speaking of revionist history, go back and look at old Threads in Non-Stop Boxing.

Some of them are very interesting. Specifically the one's that thought Floyd would lose to Gatti, Baldomir, and Judah

      People have short memories.

This is the thing that gets to me, when Floyd fought Judah and Baldo nobody was bitching about he should fight Cotto or Mosley- NOBODY was. In 10 years, people will forget victories over Pacquiao and Mosley and say he should fight whoever is top of the P4P lists at that time.

There was a thread that someone created that documented well over 50 or more of these ridiculous threads. I've since lost that link, but I'm scrambling around.

People just try to discredit him later on, he is always in a lose-lose situation.

Yeah i dont get it either.
He fought top competition, or atleast top ranked at the time.

Then he fought Oscar for a major payday and gigantic exposure at a weight class above.
Then a fight vs Hatton who was unbeaten and had claimed a title at 147 and was the lineal champ at 140.

                    Then retirement.
