Ricky Hatton is twice the fighter that Juan Diaz is so offcourse Malignaggi looked better against Diaz than Hatton.
How did the conversation go from Hatton to all British fighters? And in all honesty I am one of those American's who cannot understand how anyone could think that the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight was even close. I believe Joe whooped his a$$. But, I was not talking about Calzaghe or for that matter any other British fighter, now was I?. And I will admit that calling Hatton a bum may have been a little harsh. However, in my book he is still a way overrated fighter who, sometimes looks better against subpar fighters, but not always, and gets his a$$ handed to him by the great ones. And as far as Pauli is concerned, and I am no fan of his, Hatton may be the better fighter but he sure as hell ain't the better boxer of the two. And in the end it has nothing to do with his Nationality. Because in my opinion even if Hatton was an American, Russian or that matter Dutch, nothing would change simply because he would still be an overrated fighter.

As of right now I believe Hatton would have problems with elite 140 pounders so he definitely would do no better with the elite 147 pounders. IMO Ricky Hatton was and is the most overrated fighter of the last 10 years and now that he is fighting opposition in their prime it shows.

Hatton beat the **** out of Paulie, what was all his dancing around that you rate so highly worth then? fcuk all because at the end of the day it's a fight, same reason the judges wouldn't give the decision to Dirrell for being a coward and running away for 12 rounds. he wouldnt fight.

I believe JMM can be surprisingly effectvie at Super Lightweight/Jr WW. I also believe that is the weight class his next fight will be at. The fact is that he KO'd two champions in his two fights at Lightweight showing that he has plenty of pop in the Lightweight weight class. Bottomline is I believe he would KO Hatton in the mid to late rounds if they fought at 140 lb limit.

I don't believe a fight at WW between Hatton & JMM would be very interesting due to the fact that both fighters are not suited for the weight class. JMM needs to prove himslef at Jr WW/Super Lightweight before even considering moving past the 140 lb limit again. I also believe JMM is too old to be effective at WW becasue at his age he will have a hard time taking on all that weight while remaining quick enough.

Well if he's fighting Marquez at 147 then he should win.

He should retire , but can't knock him for trying to line up his pockets more.makes sense for him to fight marquez since they are both gbp, plus the cinco de mayo weekend will boost up even more sales if it's hatton as opposed to any one else.just whatever he does NO CATCHWEIGHT!!!
