Although I think Cotto would walk through Ricky Hatton with ease, if Cotto and Hatton wanna show their drawing power (which for the winner would vault them right back into potentially getting May/Pac/Shane depending on circumstances) putting those 2 in Yankee Stadium on the eve of the PR day parade would be HUGE. It is only around 5 hrs flight from England, tons of Puerto Ricans live in NYC, and a fight pitting 2 very big draws with very large fanbases would potentially put 35-40k asses in the seats at Yankee Stadium. That would be awesome.

Hatton drew over 50,000 against Laszcano in manchester, he doesnt need to fight Cotto to draw.

This could be a huge money maker for Hatton and Cotto a great fight for fans and a situation where both guys are likely looking to have only one or two fights anyway so the losers subsequent ride into the sunset wouldnt necessarily be thought of as such a bad thing. I mean what are Ricky's big money options really?

Shane Mosley- Maybe but he would be a big underdog and Mosley probably wouldnt see the point.

Juan Manuel Marquez- proven to also be to small at 147 so the winner wouldn't have much of a future at that weight

Andre Berto-Not enough Money unless he annihalates Sugar Man

You better be careful or you might just drowned in your Froch and Hatton kool-aid. First off, when did I rate Paulie very highly? I simply stated that he has the edge with boxing skills. And the reason being is that Hatton is more so a brawling type fighter, or have you not noticed that fact? And you may be blinded by your Nationalism if your going to bring Froch into a conversation that has anything to do with a great fighters. Not that I am going to compare Taylor to Paulie but Jermain was the better boxer and was whoopin Froch but in the end Carl was the better fighter and won. Does that even make sense to you? As far as the Dirrell fight is concerned, it was in my opinion one of the worst decisions I have ever witnessed. Andre looked raw at times but he outclassed Froch in just about every way and the fight was no where near as close as even Al Bernstein said it was. And I have always liked and respected Al Bernstein as far back as his ESPN days. But, he is human and can have an off night as he obviously had watching the Froch-Dirrell fight. I personally only gave Froch a couple of rounds and what I saw was Andre out speed and out class and at times even out power Froch to the point to where Carl looked like a club fighter. But don't get me wrong Carl is tough as they come but he is just not a very good fighter. With that said if Froch is able to beat Kessler in a few months I will give credit where credit is due. And if you believe that I am all pro-American when it comes to boxing that could not be further from the truth. Because, I am beyond disgusted with the American heavyweight scene, and other then Thompson and Chambers, we have fat bodies like Arreola who have many American's drinking his kool-aid and actually thinking he is a good fighter. Now, only if you would put down your kool-aid and open your eyes to the truth.

hatton vs marquez would be a ugly fight to watch, especially at 147..marquez proved he couldnt do a thing at that weight vs mayweather, now i know he was outclassed and it was a mismatch, but landing 12% is a sign to go back to where you came from

i didnt read everything that you two talked about ( and i respect weeblers posts as well) but you came back at him with a vengance and also with respect, great post, and while i dont agree with everything you said you still backed it up with facts and supported what you were sayin, and weebler is right hatton schooled paulie i was at the fight lots of fun

now onto the hatton cotto fight, i dont like it one bit i am the biggest hatton fan i have ever met (lol) but i think at that weight cotto will beat him, i like him against JMM better at a catch weight even though i hate catch weights i just dont think that hatton can maket 140 safely anymore, hell i dont even know if he could make 144, i would love to see him fight again but i would rather not see him lose after all, THERES ONLY ONE RICKY HATTON!!!!!!
