But that isnt good for anyone, Not for Mayweather neither for Pacqauio, Mayweather does need to fight though since he last fought in september and him waiting till May for Mosley is too long for him, But am sure they could move his fight off a week or so.

Another thing is unless Mayweather fights a big name in March then he cannot compete with Pacquaio/Clottey.

It'll just be a tune-up with Mosley coming later.

Which way will HBO go? If there won’t be a “dueling” PPV schedule, and HBO has to “choose” btw a mayweather OR a pacquiao fight on March 13th, they will undoubtedly choose floyd, b/c unless many is fighting another BIG name, floyd is the bigger draw…..

I’m so excited floyd has decided to return to the ring in March, as opposed to sitting out, and waiting for Shane Mosley in may! That’s not b/c I don’t want to see that fight, but it’s because shane will lose to berto, so waiting until may for him would be a huge mistake for mayweather.

Andre berto by manslaughter on the 30th…..

The reason they wanna annouce Floyd's next fight soon and fight on the same date (March 13th) is so that they have an excuse for avoiding Mosley-Berto winner.

Floyd just had a tune-up, it's time for the excuses to stop and for him to take on the big boys. But instead he'll fight Malignaggi, a fight that has no place on PPV.

You gotta consider what and who's available. Mayweather's made it clear Mosley is his #1 priority after Pacquiao which won't be possible till around May. If he fights a tough opponent in March the May date would probably have to be pushed back, which would in turn push the possible Pacquiao fight all the way back, maybe to 2011. And no one wants that.

Looks like the undercards will be the determining factor. IMO both sides need to line up a good undercard to help out with PPV buys. I know I'll personally buy the one that has the better supporting cast if you know what I mean, because neither Pacquiao/Clottey or Mayweather/Malignaggi or Hatton is worth PPV by themselves.

                  Paul Williams or bust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one else in the WW division can really beat you. Go for the man who they all fear. This will surely outsell pacq/clottey and make pacq look like the cheating bytch he really is. The reward is there and the media will be intrigued. Hell, they may even have you as an underdog is this one.

but seriously though how much tuneups does he need before the mosley fight happens?, he's been saying every fights a tuneup for the last 5 years.
