He challenged Shane in 2006 when it was known that Shane was not fighting for the rest of the year. Shane also turned down Margarito for late 2006 because it was known he was not fighting the rest of the year.

If I remember correctly Shane wanted to fight Floyd after Oscar. But, Floyd retired and came back out of retirement to fight Hatton. Big money fight. Did great numbers more power to Floyd. I don't consider that a duck either.

The original debate was that jai mari078 claimed Floyd didn't want the fight with Pacquiao if he doesn't make the same demands of Shane that he made of Pacquiao.

Yet, Floyd's the one who agreed to all of Pac's demands. It was Pac who reneged on the idea of Olympic style testing after initially agreeing to it.

Golden boy is also reaching up to M. Hatton people and Malignaggi. And, don't forger Floyd is more loved by the boxing media in the U.K then he is here. Floyd has a fanbase over there. Floyd could easily make 7-10mil in Euros or whatever is called over there. Which would be $14-20mil in US dollars. For Matt Hatton bro. Plus if he fights Pac he will make 40mil later on in the year. In 2006 it was known Shane was not fighting. He was talking about going on vacation before the Vargas fight. He even turned down Margarito. He said he was not fighting in November. And, when was the last time he fought more than 2 times in a calender year.

exactly july 2006, larry merchant asked shane 4 times "why not mayweather in november"..shane had a million excuses "toothache".."vacation"..."i was in a war with vargas" (when he easily beat vargas).....then he said on friday night fights the next week that he wanted to fight margarito. Floyd vs. Hatton was the biggest fight in boxing when it went down everybody wanted that fight.
