He's Top Rank, and he's a legit championship level fighter at welterweight. Not a bad replacement instead of Floyd, better than Matthew Hatton or Paulie Malignaggi.

He's signed to Top Rank, needs the money, wont question Pacroid, wont question Arum, will take a loss on the scorecards.

Picking Clottey is just an escape route. Even if Pac beats him people are only going to want to see him vs Floyd, it doesn't change anything.

Clotteys dangerous to anyone. You could even argue that he's only got one loss, which his only legit loss was to Margarito, and even then he fought with two broken hands. Lost an extremely close fight to Cotto in which, at the time, this entire board was saying Clottey was robbed. And the Baldomir fight was won before the DQ. The fact that Clottey has been constantly been considered to fight the best like Mosley, Williams, etc, it goes to show he's got credibility when it comes to how tough he is in the ring.

He's a Top Rank fighter who won't be asking for Olympic style blood tests.

like ppl say hes with top rank. also some of these so called boxing fans who dont really know nothing about boxing think clottey has a chance. in reality its another tailor made oponent for pacquiao to make him look good and be a solid name on his resume, without really proving anything.

Picking CLottley was his 2nd or 3rd Option since ***** ass Floyd Bitched out again just like he bitched out of the rematch with De La Hoya and retired so he didn't have to fight Cotto *because he lives in puerto rico*, Margarito *because he wasn't a attraction*, Mosley *because he has 5 losses*, now Pac Man *because he wants to demand a test that boxing doesn't permit and pacquiao gave in a little bit but wasn't good enough for ***weather*

Top Rank fighter who has no chance of upsetting Pac because Arum will whisper sweet nothings in his ear.
