  • Comments Thread For: Robert Stieglitz, Charr and Boytsov Impress in Magdeburg

Magdeburg, Germany: WBO super middleweight champ Robert Stieglitz retained the title with a fifth round stoppage of Argenentinian Ruben Eduardo Acosta. Acosta, a late sub for Edison Miranda, came out fast and seemed to surprise the champion with some wild hooks. Stieglitz, the much better boxer, grabbed command in the second and floored the challenger in the third with a left hook. Acosta was outboxed and knocked down again early in the fifth by a right hook to the body. Stieglitz followed up well and forced a stoppage at 1.48 of the round. It was scored 39-36 Stieglitz on all cards after four. [Click Here To Read More]

nice win for charr.beating beck is a solid step even if beck hasn't done much the last few years.boytsov needs to step up in a big way.tony Thompson wants to fight him. At this point beating guys like montly is just spinning tires.fight Thompson! As for koeber, losing to veteran trialhorse zack page hurts.

I don`t think Boytsov should fight a guy like Thompson... If he loses (and has a big chance to lose with a guy like Tony) he will be thrown back and will have to make his way to the title again... He should have some more fights with veterans and than try to fight one of the Klitschkos!

As for Charr - don`t see a future for him...

Zack Page is the Real Deal - he is like Emmanuel Augustus of Heavyweights! Don`t be fooled with his record...
