fighters who need to step in 2010

    Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The son of quite possibly the greatest Mexican fighter to ever live, Chavez Jr. just might be the worst Mexican fighter to ever live. Ok, not the worst, but he is horribly average. His 42-0-1 record is about as legit as Butterbean’s first 40 or so fights.

    Kelly Pavlik

In 2009 he fought a grand total of two times, against Marco Antonio Rubio, and Miguel Espino. If he doesn’t fight Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, or Felix Sturm in 2010, he should just vacate the titles.

    BJ Flores

Despite being 24-0, BJ Flores’ best career win is over a guy nicknamed the “Ding-a-Ling Man.” Unless Flores wants to make announcing his full time job, it’s time to step up the comp.

    Allan Green

Green is the seventh man in the Super Six tournament. His name has been thrown in the hat as a potential Jermain Taylor replacement. So far, Green’s whole career has been as a replacement. He’s the other guy. The B- fighter. Green’s biggest career fight is a loss to Edison Miranda, and Green is 30 years old.

With James Kirkland out of the picture hopefully Angulo would step up his comp, he needs a coming out fight to set him up for the main stage.

I know some of you will say he’s too green but his crowd pleasing style won’t give his career longevity so why not enjoy it while we have it and step up his comp.

                Peace.

His coming out party was supposed to be against Cintron, but since that defeat I suppose his team have decided that he needs to work on a few things, so I can understand him taking a bit more time to get to the toughest guys in the division.

I wouldn't mind seeing him against Spinks though. I know he has a reputation for being boring, but after his last fight (where he traded punches quite a bit) I think there's a decent chance that Angulo is able to have an entertaining fight with him.
