It won't be a walk in the park for either men.
I agree. This will be a fan's fight and another brave selection on Manny's part.
Floyd's hypocrisy knows no boundaries. I will not pay to see Mayweather against anyone other then Shane or Manny.

      Well done Arum!!!

Good to hear that Team Pacquiao has moved on and opted to choose Clottey which I think is more interesting than fighting Mayweather. Mayweather fans will say that the fight should be between Pacquiao and Mayweather, but Mayweather doesn't want to fight Pacquiao (Mayweather is exposed using Xylocaine) ... so who is Manny gonna fight inside the ring if Mayweather is not keen to fight? ... Mayweather now wants 14 days thingy ... doctors and drug experts were present during the mediation, those illegal drugs if taken will stay for 40 days ... Mayweather is just playing mind games which backfired on him.

In what world is Pac Clottey more interesting than Pacquiao Mayweather.
Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind the fight. But it sucks because no mainstream boxing fans know who Clottey is.

any word on if Pacquiao-Clottey will be at a catchweight?

**this'll be Clottey's 3rd shot at a WBO welterweight title (1st vs Margarito, 2nd vs Cotto)

I beleive this when the contracts are signed...until then it's a ploy to back Floyd into a corner so Manny can get his 24 days of PED use.

              I see an upset!

CLOTTEY???? ARE YOU SERIOUS???? I MEAN, WHAT DOES PAQUIAO THINK CLOTTEY IS, A HAS BEEN LIKE DE LA HOYA, A NEVER WAS LIKE HATTON, OR A BRITTLE JAW LIKE COTTO? NO, CLOTTEY IS THIS GENERATIONS VERSION OF WINKY WRIGHT, HOWEVER UNLIKE WRIGHT, CLOTTEY HAS SOME POWER... AN IRON JAW, WITH A EXCELLENT DEFENSE, AND A GOOD PUNCH TO BACK IT UP... I KNOW THAT IT'S NOT THE MEGA FIGHT BETWEEN FLOYD AND MANNY, NONETHELESS I SEE IT AS AN UPSET WAITING TO HAPPEN. AND IT'S TOO BAD, BECAUSE IF JC GETS THE VICTORY... WE WILL NEVER SEE MANNY v.s. FLOYD.. AND THAT WILL BE A GREAT DISASTER FOR ALL OF BOXING... THIS IS WHY BOXING SHOULD TAKE A PAGE FROM MMA, DANA WHITE MAKES THE TOP FIGHTERS FIGHT, AND THE TOP FIGHTERS ONLY WANT TO FIGHT THE TOP GUYS, BOXING WAS ONCE LIKE THAT... NOT NO MORE...

I don't think its a ploy. I think Mayweather just needs some time to apply the xylocaine on his brittle hands, and maybe a manicure. Then have tea in England with Mathew Hatton. Oh I hope Paulie comes, then they can braid each others hair.

Would you like your chicken mild or ****y?

Bottom line is that Pac is "again" taking on a tough fight, and Mayweather is just doing what he has always been doing for the past 5 years, challenging the Matthew Hatton's of the world, he might as well just stage a trilogy with Henry Bruseles.

                    Bob Arum on Mayweather:

“Floyd is the best fighter i’ve seen in 40 years other than the young Muhammad Ali, there are a number of aspects that make a great fighter. One is speed. His speed is phenomenal. The way he throws punches, phenomenal. The way he is conditioned, phenomenal. I mean, he’s the entire whole package. And beside all of those skills he’s the most intelligent fighter that I have ever seen. I mean, Floyd, this is no bull****; Floyd can see a punch coming before the other guy knows he’s going to throw it. Do you understand that? I mean, I have never seen such ring intelligence that Floyd demonstrates. And so he’s the whole package, and you know, Ray Leonard was a great fighter, Marvin Hagler was a great fighter, Duran certainly was great, Oscar had a couple of years where he was very good, but there’s nobody that is a whole package like Floyd.”

If Manny can pull in non-boxing fans to fill in the stadium ( just read an article its 98% done) that'll surely hit Floyd's ego.
