Too soon? This fight has gotten more plublicity than any fight ever. They can fight tomorrow and break all records. Us fans are on standby waiting for the contracts to be signed. If so just say we will fight in may and both fighters will do warm up fights. Theres no need to fake negotiations just to put it off until the fall.

The fight can not happen in May because Pac is running for office. And, yes the March date was too soon. I think when the negotiations started both sides had intentions to get the fight done and get it made in March. But, when neither side was budging. It came clear IMO this fight will not happen in March. And, then Mayweather finally decided to budge. I think Roach/Top Rank felt it was not enough time to get prepared of Floyd. Remember Roach wanted more than 8 weeks. He wanted close to 10 or 12 weeks to prepare. So when the 14 day cut off deal was offered. They could of felt it was too soon...
