Anyone else think Clottey can beat Pacquiao?

First off, let me just say that I don't have any problems with Pacquiao. He's one of my favorite fighters.

I kind of suspected that Pacquiao would beat Cotto. Cotto was there to be hit and didn't have the right speed in order to beat Pacquiao.

Clottey is a different story, however.

Clottey will have a huge fight night weight advantage over Pacquiao. Even bigger than Cotto's. He also has a great, turtle-like defense to stop Pacquiao's punches.

Clottey doesn't isn't a knockout puncher but he's a decent counter puncher. And for a huge welterweight like him, I think he can earn Pacquiao's respect.

I basically see an upset with Clottey winning by decision. What are you thoughts?

yea i think it's a very dangerous fight for pac.. clottey's a beast lets not forget that he just laughed at cotto's shots too so he's tough as nails.. and he has decent speed and altho not a KO puncher he'll definitely get pacs respect just by his size.. high risk low reward fight for pac..

I love both fighters, and I'm glad this fight is happening. I definitely thinkg Clottey is going to give him much more of a fight. Pacquiao's got to worry about Clotteys accuracy, uppercuts, counterpunching, and his ability to double and triple his shots. But Pacquiao's speed and distance control he has could also negate everything in Clotteys arsenal.

Nope.....Clottey doen't have what it takes to beat Pacquiao. It'll be competitive but Pacquiao's punch output will give him the UD. Clottey's 'power' is yet again being used as a deciding point by viewers, but from the Cotto fight I can tell it's being overrated. The rights from Clottey were landing flush and Cotto wasn't even wobbled. And yet again Clottey couldn't finish off a fattened lightweight turned WW when he fought Corrales. Pacquiao is gonna look so flashy in the latter rounds because of Clottey's inactivity.

nah - someone said it perfectly - he'd be a sitting duck with his defensive posture for pac.

If it's not a catchweight, this is a fight fight Manny should avoid!!Listen Manny is 1 of my fave fighters, but Clottey isn't no joke!!He has fast hands & size & is very durable, which is the key here!!Cotto can be beaten into submission,Clottey, not so much!!Clottey is a wide, strong welterweight, props to Manny for talking on Clottey if he really is!!I hope fight fans realize that Manny(if he really fights Clottey & wins),furthers himself from floyd as far as greatness goes!!The only fight floyd would be able to take to keep real fight fans serious about him to remain in contention would be the winner of Mosley-Berto,or the Punisher, any other fights would make him look more suspect than he already does!!2010 baby wow!!

I think it would be a very dangerous fight for Manny. Clottey can handle himself, and he's avery skilled boxer with power.

Easy fight for Pac, Clottey is nothing more than a solid fighter but would be right in front of Pac straight line with his peek-a-boo style, Manny would be landing and moving at the sametime.
