It takes both fighters to make the fight. Making the argument that both sides are at fault because the fight hasn't been made regardless of the apparent circumstances is incorrect in my opinion. Mayweather has more than compromised enough and I think that the fight hasn't been made because Pacquiao doesn't want to fight Mayweather. I think that is a valid opinion, and it's supported by the numerous lies and contradictions we've seen from team Pacquiao.

You continue to harp on this "there's no proof" argument, and again that tips your hand. 1st of all it's 2010, all professional athletes have to deal with su****ions of illegal PED use. Otherwise they wouldn't be drug tested period. So save that "there's no proof it's, wrong to suspect him of PED use" argument. 2nd, you don't know what Mayweather and his team's su****ions are based on. You don't know what they may have heard being in the boxing loop regarding Pacquiao. What difference does it make anyway? Are you aware that there are ways of beating the current drug testing system that they use in boxing? If Mayweather suspects that Pacquiao is using things that can't be detected by the current drug testing system for whatever reason, then he has the right to ask for more stringent testing. Pacquiao has the right to refuse, and we as the public have the right to draw obvious conclusions. Given the lies and contradictions we've heard from team Pacquiao for why they won't agree to the stricter testing, I think conclusions are obvious. Pacquiao doesn't really want this fight.

And of course no one has said they have proof or they know for sure that Pacquiao is on something, that is because there is no proof. And you can't ask me why he's not suing Malignaggi isn't being sued, as I am not him. Maybe because Malignaggi doesn't have that strong of a voice or opinion within the media in the same way that Mayweather and GBP have.
I doubt that you know much about defamation or what it takes to prove it in court, but that hasn't stopped you from talking as if you do. So why not speak for Pacquiao and why he isn't suing Malignaggi who came flat out and said that he's dirty which is something that Mayweather has never done. It's extremely difficult to prove a defamation case. Neither De La Hoya nor Mayweather jr. have come out and said that Pacquiao is guilty of using PEDs. the only person from Mayweather's camp who has directly said that he believes that he uses PEDs is Floyd sr., and he didn't do it with any malice. He was just giving his opinion, he even admitted that he didn't know for sure and had no proof. That's not defamation and it doesn't take a genius to see that. Pacquiao has no case.

Pacquiao has agreed, to some extent, about the stricter drug testing, with unlimited random urine tests and random blood tests to particular time frame. It's not the stricter testing that is the problem, it's the time frames in which is the problem.
The problem with citing Pacquiao's willingness to compromise is that he and his team have been so inconsistent that it's impossible to believe anything that they say. Team Pacquiao has said a whole lot of things, contradicted themselves 3-4 times as far as what they're willing to agree to, but so far they haven't agreed to anything as far as random blood testing goes. You have to call things as they are man. I know sounds nice and diplomatic to say that both sides are at fault for the fight not being made, but the facts of the situation say different. The facts point to Pacquiao being the reason the fight isn't made right now. Who knows, maybe they want to fight Mayweather later on in the year or something. Maybe he's just dirty and scared of the random blood testing. I don't, but I'm sure he doesn't want to fight Mayweather right now.

It looks like you're defending Pacquiao over the top, because that's what you're doing. Mayweather has compromised more than enough, this thread alone is pretty much proof that Pacquiao just doesn't want the fight. He's already agreed to fight Clottey on the same date.

        • Everyone with common sense knows Roach and Pacquiao didn't want the fight. Body language says everything.

Common sense tells me that if I were the biggest target of su****ions of being a PED user, I won't be touching any PED within a ten-foot pole at any time while the world closely watches my every move.

But as we are seeing here, and throughout this forum, arguments can be made for both sides, and you can't change peoples opinions on the matter. I could make the same arguments you have made, just depends on who you talk to.

You continue to harp on this "there's no proof" argument, and again that tips your hand. 1st of all it's 2010, all professional athletes have to deal with su****ions of illegal PED use. But then surely if there's way to beat the current drug testing, surely then there would be ways to beat the extra testing that would be used for this match? I'm no expert on the matter, by any stretch of the imagination, but has any other athlete been caught for the use of PEDs or HGH? And if all athletes are to be su****ious of illegal PED use, how come it is only now, in this particular fight that it has come to light? Actual su****ions or mind games? Who knows, but it's out of hand.

I wasn't trying to come across like I know lots about it, you just said you can't be sued for having an opinion, all I stated was that you can. I not once said Pacquiao is in the right for not suing Malignaggi, which if he's going to sue, then he should have, but that's off topic. I'm pretty sure that Roger Mayweather also came out with comments saying he thinks Pac is on something and Oscar also inferred (or stated) in his article on the Ring blog piece, comparing other cheat punches to Pacs (Moseley and Vargas). Now I'm not saying those are possible grounds for suing for defamation, but it wasn't only jsut Mayweather Sr to comment about it.

I know they have been consistent, but that's the problem when he has 3 people representing him. I'm sure he has agreed to random blood testing, to an extent, and this is the only problem, he doesn't want it to be drawn before 24days. I'm not even sure it's Pac that doesn't want to fight, maybe his handlers.

It looks like you're defending Pacquiao over the top, because that's what you're doing. Mayweather has compromised more than enough, this thread alone is pretty much proof that Pacquiao just doesn't want the fight. He's already agreed to fight Clottey on the same date.
I'm only doing that as you are defending Mayweather, I'm only offering a different opinion to yours. And I still don't know how this thread is proof, a comment from Freddie Roach? But then we are back where we began. Is the Clottey fight confirmed now?

                    • "If they give me a 5-day window or something like that I have no problem with it," Roach said. "When they've drawn blood from Manny in the past he feels weaker for three or four days. It may be mental, but it's there."
