The reason that he did not look as good last night was because he was facing an awkward lefty. Even though he looked as bad as one can look winning the first two rounds and getting a 3rd round TKO, he did do some things right.

He can punch and has some athletic ability, but dare I say that he is a heavyweight version of Kermit Cintron?

Sam Peter is definitely raw, but calling him a joke is going a little too far.

      Positives:
      Power in both hands
      Ring awareness

      Negatives:
      Poor levels of opposition
      Weak jab
Carries a little too much weight
      Poor overall skillset

I know he said after the fight that he was ready for anyone, but that's normal for any young up and comer to say.

Honestly, I think it's possible that he could take Wlad. His straightforward style and pure, raw power are the deadly combination that Wlad cannot take. We have seen that against both Sanders and Brewster. I would put Peter closer to being a Brewster than a Sanders. We would have to see him against someone who can actually pop him a good lick or two before we could really determine if he can take a punch or not.
The straight ahead style would force Wlad to throw more punches than he wanted to in order to keep Peter off him. Castillo didn't prove that Wlad has improved upon his stamina, so that could still be a problem.

I wouldn't bet money on either of them in a fight against each other until I see more from both of them.

I wouldn't give Peter anything more than a puncher's chance against Vitali, and if the fight went more than 4 rounds, Vitali would end the poor boy's career.

Peter does add some excitement to the division with his power. I hope that they don't push him too fast to get asses in seats. I would like to see whether or not he can develop into more than a raw puncher.

Who ever said he was ready to fight Vitali?

Some of you are so eager to cut guys down for no reason.

Let the guy mature a few years before the fangs come out.
I can understand why any Klitschko fan would be eager to cut him down...in the future he poses a decent threat to both of them and some of the fans must realize this. No, he's not ready for them yet..but like you pointed out, hes only 24.

Possible future threat. If the guy doesn't get serious about his conditioning, he'll never pose more than barely a minimal threat through the first couple of rounds.

Also...I'm a Klitchko fan myself, but I'm certainly not eager to belittle the kid. In fact, I think it sucks that he's in such poor overall shape when he has great potential. And if he doesn't get off his fat ass and change that, 10 years from now, he'll be far more disappointed in himself than any of us will be.

Exactly! He needs to do his roadwork..slim down a bit, and improve his technique before facing Klitschko.

Remember the guy is young. He gots power, goes to the body, and has a chin. I could see him as champ in a few years.

But, he does look like he may have weight problems in the near future. I think once this kid gets a little lazy, his career will be ruined.

Can anyone give a comparison on how Tua and Ike where at this stage of their careers?

I agree with this, but I don't understand why you as well as many other people claim that he has a chin, when it has never been tested yet. In Tua's 23rd fight he KO'd Ruiz, then 3 fights later he went on to fight Izon, Maskaev, and Ibeabuchi in that order. Ike fought Byrd in his 20th fight and Tua in his 17th.

I hope Sam is not fighting demons that are coming out of his conditioner.

Ike also fought Tim Ray (10-9-2) and Everton Davis (13-10-1) in between Tua and Byrd so it's not as if the guy suddenly jumped up in competition and stayed there.
