I say had JT stayed focused and disciplined he would have been an all time top ten great. What say you?

That's illogical. Like me saying if I had've won the lottery yesterday, could I be a rich man today?

And let's be honest, Jones didn't just beat Toney, he schooled him.

Toney could have been something special if he wasn't such a fat ass. As it is, he is still a great fighter and will be in the Hall of Fame.

              hmm

I don't think it's impossible to say Toney could have been to 10 p4p all time, however, it would be very hard because there are so many great fighters already in that list.

Toney had a great chance to fight Hopkins but Hopkins pussed out or Don King tried to screw him.

As it stands, Toney does have a good enough career to get in the hall, but so does Gatti. Look at some guys that are in the hall and you know both Gatti and Toney will get in.

Toney's special...even with a fat-ass, physique doesn't win fights, clean overhand right countershots will win you 4 world championships though....

Toney is Canastosa-bound, I'd put him in the top 20 p4p all-time, 2-3 more big wins (Vitali, Byrd) would make him top-10 all time and one of the top 3-4 of our generation IMO

Naah. There is no room for him in the top 10 all time, no matter who he beats before he retires. SRR, Ali, Tapia, Holy, Armstrong, Dempsey, RJJ, JCC, SRL, Pepp, Greb etc in no order will always be better. He could even rematch and beat RJJ, and win the undisputed heavyweight championship....and will never be better than the forementioned.
