i voted no. what exactly do you mean by the question? do you mean if floyd completely changed his style? because that is what he would have to do to finish marquez off. he would have to open up and get into a fight which then would open him up for marquez to land punches which would not look good for floyd even though he would still win. i dont think he could have stopped marquez even if he tried hard, so in the end, the opening up by mayweather to TRY and stopp marquez would go against him in the end because people would be talking trash about how marquez landed on mayweather.

i can honestly see marquez going down 5 times and getting up on all of them still capable of fighting, the man has amazing recovery speed and a huge heart.

I wached the fight recently and and yes Floyd could have stopped him. When Floyd pressed in the 10th you could see Marquez was in trouble and the announce team even felt the fight was close to being over. Marquez would have finished on his feet with Tony Weeks jumping in. Marquez wasnt fight back when he got caught clean and upping the pace would have forced a stoppage. I think the only way to get Floyd to really step it up and try to KO someone is if he gets tagged himself. When he is completly in control he takes his foot off the gas.

Personally, i thought he could have stopped him at any point, but he wanted the workout after being inactive.

I don't think that Floyd carried JMM, but he didn't exactly step on the gas either. Once he knew he could easily outbox him Floyd was just resolved to go the distance.

No...I believe, although Marquez can be knocked down, dude has a granite chin. I could see Mayweather eventually punching in such combinations that the ref was to step in...and that's by a longshot and using my power of imagination.

an out of his weight fat washed up marquez,if u want to be realistic, well then lets be realistic(he would have ate the canvas before the 6th round under those conditions and at that weight, marquez had absolutly no speed or power on that night and no boxing fan cud argue with that, and mosley would have also put him away by eight or ninth?
