I will continue to consider Peter a genuine contender until proven otherwise...he may be the most complete fighter but there have been plenty of top heavyweight contenders and even champs that were not the most skilled technically. That's what makes the division different from the rest...you can win purely on power .

If something did happen, shudder to think a ring fatality, he could damage boxing as a sport and ruin thousands of livey hoods!
I agree..I understand his need to box (well, as much as I can understand it while not being a boxer myself!) but it has been pointed out to him time and time again that its just too dangerous..I cant imagine it would be worth dying for Personally, I wasnt all that impressed with his performances in the past and think he would only be ranked so high cause of the state the heavy wt. division is in to begin with. My opinion on him in that regard has nothing to do with it anyway, but like I said, it's so not worth dying for.

The thing is that you would think he'd already have all the proof he needed that he can't handle the punching power of top-ranked heavies. I mean, a guy made your brain bleed, Joe, and he wasn't even a real heavyweight. Thing is plenty of guys get their pro careers cut short and can still do great things for the sport...just ask Teddy Atlas.

True, but the guy is undefeated and was the WBC mandatory when he was banned, i can understand his anger. If he`d won the title ( wouldn`t have happened but lets speculate ) then been banned it might have been easier for him to swalow!

Exactly..he was well liked enough that a career in the sport in other areas is more than possible..be it commentaing, taining, or a cutman. I realize it's not the same, but none of those get you dead either!

It's his own life he should be able to box if he wants to. Nobody told Terrel Owens not to play in the Superbowl, why tell Mesi what to do?
              Are you kidding me?

Jirov almost left him Braid Dead...
              The Klitchkos will murder him!

Mesi has no chance against neither one of them... Maybe someone does, but definitely not Mesi... He is not a hard puncher AND he doesn't take big punches well..

Are you crazy... The Klitschco's hit alot harder than Jirov. Those blood clots will get alot a bigger after he gets KO'D
I enjoy watching Mesi fight but, I think it's time to hang'em up.

Honestly, i like you as a poster of this forum Joe Boxer so please don`t be offended. But i totally disagree with this. Not if Mesi had a gun could be floor Vitali, Wladimir??? EVERYONE has a chance! But no way Mesi beats Vitali!
