Will we ever see Pacman fight a legitimate fight at 147, besides Oscar?

I think his potential fight against Yuri (The weakest of all the current belt holders) will be at a catchweight...

Can anyone say smoke and mirrors???

I guess you can say that he ducked Mosley, but he did beat up the guy that beat up Mosley who was regarded as more dangerous than Mosley. I thought one of the real reason why they did not go for Mosley was because they were setting up a fight with Floyd. What don't you ask this question instead, how come Manny has fought Cotto, a true WW, and yet Floyd hasn't even fought any top WW since Baldomir and Judah. Now that's ducking.

Roach even said that you're never the same after a KO and said time after time Cotto wasn't the same fighter. Mosley was avoided by both Pacquiao and Mayweather because he presents a bad risk/reward ratio compared to JJM and Cotto. When Cotto almost pulled out of the fight because he refused to put his title on the line at 145. SMM stepped up to the plate and offered the same split/ come down in weight/ and put his WBA title on the line. He was ignored. I wouldn't call it a duck but they weren't exactly eager to fight him....That said I do believe Pac will fight SMM if he beats Berto and Pac beats Mayweather...
I don't see Pac beating Mayweather. I think Pac has a punchers chance but Mayweather will sit and wait and hit. PAC hates the idea of being hit and not hitting back. It was evident in most of his fights since Morales. Mayweather will play on that. Mosely/Mayweather would make a more interesting fight.

Tell me, why do you assume this is a Manny vs Floyd contest?

What you just wrote is completely irrelevant to the question.

Im a Mosley ball washer yeah I said big whup you wanna fight about it?
The real reason that Pac did not fight Shane is because he thought he would get more money fighting Cotto and for less of a risk
He was right on both things
he had the biggest PPV that year and he easily whooped on Cotto.
I give him props for taking on a prime Cotto. Cotto looked in great shape and was not drained pac was just way too fast for him.

So I dont think he ducked Mosley he just made a smarter business decision.

If he would have fought Shane he would have got his ass knocked out in less than 5 and he wouldnt be in the position he is in now.

In an interview aired over GMA 7 TV News last night, pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao said that he is willing to face Shane Mosley on October 17th but his team and the promoters will have to make the fight happen. He said he has no problem with Mosley.
While Mosley’s camp was quick to spread the news that the Filipino superstar reportedly told GMA News on Wednesday that he would be willing to fight the 37-year-old Mosley ("No problem. We can fight. As long as we negotiate," Pacquiao said.), Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, told the Los Angeles Times such talk was premature.
Pacman will fight anyone...with no blood sucking needed

very true indeed....but i think it also had to do with fkn bob arum and his inhouse bull-****...it doesnt matter if he beat mosley if it was years ago with cotto being a different fighter. pluss he had a ****ty trainer vs pac. mosley beat margarito..tony beat cotto end of discussion... pacquiao ducked for the better money and less risk. us boxing fans kno what really went down
