The lawsuit filed against Mayweather and Associates is a legitimate counter-action to the hideous ploy they have instigated to defame Pacquiao. Manny was a target of Character assassination through a "Smear Campaign'" aimed at seriously hurting his honorable career as a World-Class Fighter.

As with the petitions against Floyd Jr., it comes to no surprise that a full-scale retaliation to his involvement in the "Smear Campaign" has led loyal supporters of Pacquiao to lead a recall to cancel all endorsement deals with Jr. This action is obviously a well planned counter-action that will send a clear message to Mayweather and Associates that boxing fans are angry with their callous actions and are prepared to voice their opposition in a stern way.

No one with any dignity and honor will call the actions of Team Pacquiao "Childish." Only the disgruntled haters and detractors of Manny Pacquiao will voice their opinions as such. JAT

The petition is just pathetic, period. It basically shows a bunch of Manny nuthuggers have came together to prove that they only like one fighter and thats Manny Pacquiao... that's why they will go to such depths. Truly pathetic.

It savors more of bruised pride than an issue of honor, to me. Nice straw man, btw. Do you have a single independent thought in that head of yours, or do you merely parrot everyone else's thoughts?

many lawsuits are "frivalous," but it depends on the grounds for the lawsuit.

in this case, it's awkward manny is filing a lawsuit, but has refused to be tested. if manny were to take the tests, and come out clean, i think he'd have better grounds for his lawsuit. IMO, this is full of smoke, and will go nowhere.....the sports world is different from the rest of the world, in that it's usually "guilty to proven innocent," in sports.

team mayweather are the defendants, not pac. why would pac have to take any tests? the lawsuit is about team mayweather slandering and libeling pac's name. that's all pac's lawyers have to prove. that's all team mayweather's lawyers have to disprove.

                      Pac did this before:

In August 2007, Pacquiao filed a P30-million libel suit against four journalists of the Manila Bulletin due to an article which stated that he "is reported to be a compulsive gambler and is known to bet hundreds of thousand in casinos, ****fighting, and billiards."[76] The case was later dismissed via "affidavit of desistance", and Pacquiao stated that pursuing the case would only cause inconvenience to him and his family.[77]

Zonio, Aquiles (2007-08-01). "Pacquiao files P30-m libel suit vs 4 journalists". Inquirer.net.http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakin...ticle_id=79988. Retrieved 2007-09-05.

^ mb.com.ph, Pacquiao’s libel case vs Bulletin dismissed

I like Pacquiao but I hate the fact that some people think he is a god and he may believe that too. His fans just believe he is a saint and it is not true.
