I agree with everything except strength. I think Berto is naturally stronger than Mosely but this will not come in to play as an advantage because of the style of the fight.

my opinion....stop using other fighter's past fights as knowledge of what they'll do against a particular opponent, unless there is a propensity shown against a particular "style" of fighter.

once again, it's my OPINION berto beats shane....shane didn't look good against mayorga, lost to cotto in a close but clear decision win for cotto (despite how you saw the fight), and looked good against an exposed and non-boxing statue in margarito....

        i got 10K on berto....sup?

the comparison is fair because mosley is better than urango. this is obvious.

lols... mayorga had 20 lbs on mosley. cotto is a good fighter (even tho mosley got robbed) better than anyone berto has ever fought. margarito would wear down berto and possibly stop berto late.

10k says Mosley wins by decision or KO.

berto is physcially bigger, but mosley is a strong as mofo. plus mosley knows how to use his strength.. berto doesn't.

I say once Shane lands that left hook, Berto will not be the same fighter. A trademark Mosley left hook and Berto goes in survival mode. Also Mosley's right is no joke.

I don't know about that. Mosley is strong, he's a former weight lifter and supposedly can bench 300+ pounds (though I'm even a little skeptical about this but I would imagine he can bench a lot for his weight).

And what is the "correct way"? Well, it doesn't include power lifting, which is what Shane Mosley -- who is rumored to be able to bench-press anywhere from 300 to 500 pounds -- did to literally bulk up from lightweight to welterweight and then junior middleweight.
I'm usually not one to really give a damn how much someone benches when it comes to boxing though perhaps it could come into play during something like clinching plus Mosley does hit hard and is tough as nails and both of these things are an indication of his strength. Berto is obviously muscular but I'm not sure how strong he actually is.

After watching Mosley-Margarito again I get the feeling Mosley's going to be getting tagged in this one...a lot.
