Paul Williams vs Mayweather @ 154 who takes it???

Everyone wants to see this fight also and williams try to make a fight with mayweather like 4 times already, but mayweather and his camp says he's too big for floyd so this fight will never happen.

But what do you think would happen?

I think Mayweather would take the decision. Floyd is a lot more talented and lot slicker than Martinez. Would be a test for Mayweather, but I see him taking it with a 3-4 point margin.

I think Paul Williams takes the decision. Sergio showed a slick fighter will still trouble Paul, but Sergio was also able to handle and match the output coming at him, whereas I don't think Floyd would be able to.

I esteem mayweather's boxing style but it is not good at fighting against tall boxer like williams

since when does punch output win fights?

PW was also able to hit sergio (although with nothing significant), a lot more than he will be able to hit floyd....

what also hurt martinez was the fact that he was clearly winded, halfway through the fight.....mayweather won't tire out.

also, check your punch stat numbers, as martinez threw well fewer punches than willliams....point is, he was able to land the better shots, which is exactly what will happen against mayweather.

the reason why sergio can handle williams's move is he is also as big as williams. I have no idea how can mayweather punches attain williams face.

Punch output is exactly what won Paul Williams the fight against Sergio Martinez. Sergio had to match that output, that's why he tired out during the fight before coming on again late. That's how Paul Williams wins most his fights. Mayweather may land better shots, but he will take a ton as well. Mayweather is far from unhittable, and a lanky 6'2 southpaw who throws a ton of punches will be able to land on Mayweather.

Personally I think it is just a bad matchup for Floyd Mayweather, he is smaller and doesn't throw as much as you must to win a decision against Paul Williams.

I figured after the Martinez fight people would stop overestimating Williams. I was wrong.

Martinez showed that Williams is open to a slick fighters shots. Sure, Martinez might have more power but Mayweather is gonna be slicker, hit more accurately, and will not get hit nearly as much making Williams look less "busy" and more awkward.

It might be a relatively close match, but Mayweather would still outclass Williams IMO.
