Here is the is the difference between a warrior and a quitter. Both guys are faced with a similar situation, but one man guts it out and achieves victory the other displays the biggest act of cowardice in the history of the sport...

Mayweather is a professional boxer, who fights for a living. He's been doing it ever since he was a damn child, you can't be serious with this "afraid" business.

He is looking for high reward/low risk fighters. Williams, Clottey, Cotto, Mosley, etc, are all high risk/low reward. Hatton and Marquez were low risk/high reward. I don't think that helps his legacy at all, but that's the way it goes.

          He had avoided fighters though.

Floyd's philosophy: wait until they are past their best. Or, he'll fight someone who's smaller (Hatton), or both smaller and older (JMM), but never fight a prime opponent who's his own size (Clottey) or bigger (Williams or Pavlik).

One thing's for certain: no one will ever call Mayweather a ring warrior! He has the heart of a chicken.
The same can be said about Manny, who has he fought in there prime that was good? Cotto lost his prime in that Margs fight. ah yes David diaz was prime lol,and we all know what JMM did to Manny.
