Yeah, I live in a hovel and even if I call the local pigs or the ambeelance types, they don't come because there is none. I'm real tough though cause I live in a ****ed up area and if I say that they don't come ever it makes me even tougher.

Anyway, rip for Cotto Sr. Real sad but they were Christians weren't they? He is with his God now and better off there than here.

Hopefully this will bring to light the continuing lack of funds for good public health systems across the world whether in PR, the good ol' US or China.

It's funny because I just spent two weeks in the Caguas/Gurabo and San Lorenzo area in PR which are all within minutes of each other and I saw cops all over the place. I think the problem is that they are all on cell phones talking while patrolling the streets. I also visited San Juan and saw the same four cops in the same corner for over an hr and a half just chillin. It's a shame, I think it was just a matter of them not taking the call serious.

I am probably one of the few in NSB that have been in both PR and Phillippines. I been to San Juan, San Sebastian, Camuy, Arecido, Aquadilla, and Caguas which is Cotto's Hometown. Phils i only been around Pasay, pasig city, Manila. I once very briefly in Mindanao got the F out of there fast as some guys were pretending to be Abu Sayaf or not, but they hustled me for P10,000. It really depends where you are to handle an emergency like that. One problem i have with both Phils and PR is there are places without many or no traffic signs. That is scary to drive at night. In phils also the draining system has problems so you get water in the street and some smell.
But some parts are modern like the near the mall of asia, the only place where i found my Avian Water.

Often in some parts of PR where it is very rural people simply just drive people to the emergency, my uncles did that with my grandparents often.
If in fact 911 took 40 minutes to respond and had to be called 4 times than there could be liability and negligence, they have to determine if the operator dispatched the proper codes to signal emergency. Even in NY, we get problems with horrible 911 responses so it dosent shock me at all.
