To be fair to Ernie Terrell and the rest of Ali's opponents who called him Clay, I doubt anyone would call their opponent another name if their opponent got in their face like Ali did and ordered them around.

Terrell was no Uncle Tom but he was unfortunate to be in the receiving end of a peak Ali's wrath. Perhaps in another era Terrell could have reigned a little longer. He has become an underrated fighter.
