Truth be told his advice would have helped Cotto. Cotto tried to outmuscle Pac and he essentially got outboxed. Pac has been boxing his way through ODLH, Hatton and Cotto. He's not brawling. ODLH and especially Cotto were getting some ****ty advice from their trainers. They essentially tried to outmuscle him and he took the opportunity to counter thei one or 2 punches with 5,6 ot 7 of his own. Having the fights at a catchweight also meant it would be harder for them to use their advantages.

Cotto would have fared much better against Pac if he fought him the way he did margarito......hit and move....do not exchange.....Pac is too fast to stand and exchange with...........

oh, look who's talking, calling those trainers whose fighters lost to Pac as ******! LOL, now that's what i call BS! You'v just exposed yourself, look in the mirror and see who's the ******.

Have you ever heard of information assymetry and bounded rationality?

But, is easy to look back at it now since we saw what happened. Did we really believe that Pac was going to take Cotto punches well even suffer a busted eardrum yet not get fazed? Who believe that was going to happen before the fight took place?

I could be the greatest trainer of all time if I watch a fight sees how it plays out and then give my advice. You know what I am saying. My whole point is easy to look back at it now...

Larry Merchant i think is wrong, Floyd is a bloody awesome fighter and if he does his homework(he says he never has and never will but probably just talk) just like Manny(Freddy) will do his and the fight is 50/50. Both fighters are already great and whoever wins will BE boxing.

is that right? JMM as a setup for Pac? and he planned it, how JMM called PBF cuz of the apparent duck from Pac? PBF planned how he would come back from 2-yr retirement, beat JMM and called out for a different and specail test just for Pac? how did he see it, that Pac's team would refuse it? then why the hell would he be demanding for it if he really wants to fight? to level the playing field against a smaller man? why don't he try 140 instead?

nowhere in the interview did larry say anything that made you conclude about floyd not being 'awesome'

i think floyd is. but for some reason maybe there is a slight chance that floyd thinks he 'might' (not certainly) lose!
