Who Doesn't Think Blood Test are Good For Boxing?

Pac Fans, explain to me how and why random Blood testing is a bad thing? Is it just cause Pacquiao has a problem with it? I believe without a doubt that the only reason you dont like it is because Pacquiao doesn't like it. Any other fighters about to make 40 million would agree to it in a heartbeat, even Floyd Mayweather. The only fighter who has come out and said he wouldn't test is Roy Jones, and as much as I like Roy, he has been caught with some illegal sh-t before.

I have no doubt that other big name fighters would submit to this test, I'm talking Oscar, Shane, JMM, Paulie, Ricky, B Hop, Paul Williams, Cotto, Clottey, Berto, they all would take it. Manny could set an example for the sport, but he never even thought about that, all he cares about is his silly superstion, which really is nothing but an excuse he concocted to explain his terrible performance vs. Morales. I recall him having a ton of excuses in that fight, blood test was just one of them.

So on the real, this is a Pacquiao issue? Hardly any other fighter would let this fight die out of fear of needles.

olympic style testing is absolutely a good thing, only *******s disagree cuz their hero would no longer be able to walk around with a backpack of every steroid known to man being pumped into his system

It's bad for Boxing if it ends up killing one of the biggest fights in the last 30 years.

What bugs me is that Floyd is telling Pac to take the blood test or he takes his ball and goes home.

If I was fighting for 40 million, I wouldn't demand the guy who'd be my ticket there to do something he might not want to do.

I'm actually frustrated with both sides so, I'm not gonna say it's entirely Floyd's or Pac's fault.

I think Pac should take the test and Floyd should stop biting the hand that feeds him.

You would need to have some sort of boxing commision to oversee these drug tests though, and that is not something that exists. What we have is that any drug tests, if there are any at all, are done state by state. The state of Nevada handles any fight in vegas. The state of California likewise, etc. etc. etc. Some states don't have any drug tests at all.

In order for Olympic style drug testing to be in place, it would have be across the board, and again, the only way for this to happen is if there was a boxing commission, which there isn't. The US government would likely have to get involved. Millions of dollars would have to be invested in order for this to work. Then, the obvious questions lie - who gets tested? Does every single registered pro fighter get tested, randomly, year round? Or would it only be for "big fights?" How would this work?

For the record I don't think it's a bad idea, I'm simply typing the obvious huge obstacles that are in the way.

You make good points but when I think about it.. Pac and his team are arguing that it is the simple act of the test itself that Pac absolutely can not do. He can not have a teaspoon of blood taken out of him within 30 days of the fight. That just doesn't make any Sense. Making a catchweight for a natural welter imo is tougher than a blood test.

Truthfully a lot of people think Floyd is only asking for the test cause he no Pac doesn't like it. What if he actually is truly concerned that Pac may be on the juice? Do members here owe him an apology. These fans will take Pac's concerns seriously but they wont take Mayweathers concerns seriously.

would it be naive for me to think that in reality, atleast 60% of the top fighters are on some type of PED's?
