Khan has nothing to do besides fight Maidana. There's no way around it because he's not even being mentioned as a potential opponent by any big names.

With that said, I wouldn't call Maidana chinny just yet because Ortiz packs a huge punch and he could send anyone to the floor. Khan, however, was being dropped way too much by relatively feather-fisted fighters at 135.

But then, he was a little boy back then. He's maturing into his frame now, and has Roach teaching him how to fight properly. In a way it's like the Pacquiao story, although Khan has had a far more privileged and decorated upbringing.

Khan should get respect if he accetps this fight and wins. But if he drops the belt in order to avoid Maidana he should get **** on and rightfully so.

You can beat your arse that if Khan takes him out inside 5 rounds, people on here will say Maidana is a C class fighter and ****.

I hope Khan takes this fight but he still won't get respect for a potential win here. I guarantee it.

Not that my opinion matters but I would give Khan respect. I thought Ortiz would beat Maidana, boy was I wrong. If Khan gets in the ring with Maidana, regardless whether he wins or loses it shows he's willing to try.
