i'd love to see this fight happening. i know Khan would want it, the only possible reason why this match would not be made is the Khan team or FW.

Khan really needs to take this fight. The guy has been given stardom for doing virtually doing and even had the nerve to say he'd be an even bigger star if he were white. It's time to stop talking big while fighting punching bags, Khan.

i would have loads of respect if hes takes the fight on, but he would get destroyed by maidana, but i feel khan would be a coward drop his title and go for a fight which offers more money

isnt that what most boxers do who are a draw??

generally only those boxers who dont bring much money to the table will try and fight everyone. Those who are draws will fight less risky fights mainly

The sad thing is that in Khan's head, he's probably already at that level of super stardom where you should only look for big money fights. It really wouldn't surprise me if he did exactly that.

Agree. Maidana is clearly being overhyped.

I dont think he is even as good as Prescott skillwise.

Who knows, maybe he'd give a **** about that word called legacy that gets thrown around like a cheap hooker on this forum? There's a reason that people are draws, and while Khan is a mysterious exception, it's because they've been through a lot of tough fights, impressed the fans and got into a higher, deserved position. What has Khan done to deserve that? Why would even his most loyal fans accept that ****?

keep your biased thaughts to yourself. The fact is Khan is a draw whether you like it or not, whether you think he deserves it or not. He won a silver medal at 17! world champ at 22, has a fairly good record for his age, has done loads for his local community and charities. The reason why he has a big fan base is because he's an exciting fighter, got great skills, great potential etc. if yo cant get that through your thick skull than thats your problem

I think it has more of a chance of being an easy night's work for Khan.

What makes you say that? He fights carefully, but not scared. I suppose you're one of those with blinkers on who also reckons Wlad fights "scared"...

All Khan needs is one round to finish his man, especially if their defence isn't great (forget Kotelnik, because he has a Winky-like guard). Now that he's properly sitting down on his punches, there'll be devastation left in his wake.

Which would be his downfall, because Khan is not so ****** anymore as to go and trade with him. Maidana went head-hunting for Ortiz in the first 4 rounds of their fight, and look what happened to him.

You have got to be fucking kidding me... What the hell has he been doing ever since the Prescott fight? BRUSHING UP ON HIS DEFENCE!

Whoa, steady on. Maidana can box at least a little better than Prescott IMO - all the latter does is throw huge swinging overhands which miss most of the time.

                      1. He's a draw, yeah, but not cause of his striking personality or acheivements, it's through marketing. He endorses products for teh Argos catalogue ffs.

                      2. He's a titlist, not a champion.

                      3. His record for his age is decent, as a record for a title holder it ****ing sucks.

                      4. "loads" is quite the overstatement. One could also counter by brining up his disservice to the community through his driving altercations.

                      5. He doesn't really have that big of a fan base to be frank. Most of the people who attend his fights are casuals who buy into the marketing, i've seen it first hand; people who know **** all about boxing but go, thinking he's the next Tyson, cause they don't know otherwise.
