He also didn't look good against Pedermo before his power came into play and made it easy for him.Kessler is 30 it aint old in boxing.manny pacquaio 31 floyd mayweather 32.he had 1 shockingly bad fight it doesnt mean he is finished but i dont mean he will be entering the top 10 p4p anytime soon either its just the way people talking nearly saying froch will destroy him i just cant see it.i think we will have to agree to disagree on this 1Comment

i've thought similar thoughts but feel its not too late for a corner changeI think it's about 5-8 years too late to bring in a new trainer for Mikkel Kessler. Don't worry, he's still my danish idol. But seriously. Mikkel Kessler is so European schooled, that it's too late to teach him how to box otherwise now. Richard is a good trainer, but he just couldn't teach Mikkel more the later years of his career. Emanuel Steward would have been a good choice for about 5 years ago.
to help kess out.
ive been so pissed since his fight against calzaghe where his lackey corner had no answers.Comment

I thought for sure Kessler's trainer would fire Kessler first.
Kessler is a chump. Regardless of my personal opinions about him it's pretty sad to see that he has now managed to scapegoat everyone involved in the fight.
Getting his ass kicked in like a red headed stepchild must not have had anything to do with the fact that Kessler is a big baby.
It was his opponents fault for fighting illegally, it was the opponents promotors fault for stacking the deck, it was his promotors fault for not getting him a fair shake. It was the judges fault for being from California, it was his trainer's fault for not being able to magically transfrom a woman into a man halfway through a fight.
It was the equipment company's fault cause Kessler's jockstrap was too tight.
It was his chef's fault because he got gassy from his pre fight meal.
It was his father's fault for having no heart and handing it down a generation.
It was his moms fault cause she didn't breastfeed him like Wards did.
It was God's fault for not intervening in divine fashion...Comment

either kessler has lost his edge or he needs a revitalizing change, personally, i think and say this about most fighters, especially stright up and down fighter, but in this case, kessler, i think he should look into hiring ****m richardson so he can learn a little bit of slickness and how to dictate the pace in any quarter of the fight game.
kessler can control most guys with a jab, right hand, and good ring generalship, but once they throw out some unorthodox type stuff, he falls into rut and lets the other guy do his thing. kessler needs to learn how to get all of his oppnents to fight his fight. ward made kessler fight his fight and took kessler out of his game.
richardson knows how to take what a fighter has got and knows how to expand and exploit their strentgh for the better. he also is the master of strategy and game plan, which is something kessler needs desperately.
personally, unless kessler is in some sort of fear, he should be able to conrtol and dictate the pace of froch. there are no secrets or any slickness to froch's game, he's tough, comes at you, and likes to trade, something a good jab, and ring generalship can make difficult for a fighter of that style, as long as you have the discipline to stay with your strategy, now add some slickness to that and kessler can add another facet to his game and can be on top again.........
thats if his head and heart are in it............. who knows? maybe calzaghe ate kesslers fighting soul??????Comment

The inactivity and problems with his former promoter affected Mikkel.
Cus D'Amato once said "inactivity ruins a boxer". I've seen it over and over again.Comment

Look who Nasim is working with though...as much as I hate Bernard he went in with great skills and toughness...but yes Richardson has made a difference with him I guess.Comment
