Sanchez beat a declining Gomez, unfortunately.
Coke and women were already screwing him up prior to this fight. Not to take away from Sanchez' victory, but that is the reality.

Was Gomez prime? Yes he was. Though he was moving up to featherweight for the Sanchez fight. Gomez's best days were at Jr. Featherweight. Sanchez had the potential to be the greatest Mexican fighter of all time.Comment

Gomez killed himself to make that weight at the time and never had his complete focus in that fight, the night life and bad company was what really got to him. Sanchez was a great fighter but if Gomez would have been into that fight I never doubted that he would have KOed Sanchez.....Comment

Gomez went up to 126..4lbs to be exact to fight Sal Sanchez..Gomez never made excuses that I know of for that loss..and neither should his fans..Gomez got wrecked when he was 32W-0-32KO I believe..

Yes he did. He wasn't at his best weight but he was still in his prime.Comment
