That win for Lewis is looking better and better, as Vitali defeats opponent after opponent.

Old, out of shape Lewis brawled with the younger, in shape Vitali and still won, truly was a great win for him.

As *****-like as it might've seemed, Lennox was very wise to have retired when he did. If he felt like he didn't have it anymore, why go in and take punishment just to satisfy some bitter opponent?

He retired on his terms, when the time was right, and I respect him for that.

Losing on cuts is always unsatisfactory. I still dont think ive seen this fight whole. I hear conflcting stories. Some say Vitali would have won if he didnt get cut. And some say, including LL that he was overtaking and getting second wind.

But it was a valuable win nonetheless

Lennox Lewis convincingly won the final round of that fight and thats all that matters.

That final uppercut that took away Vitali's legs was one of the most beautiful punches Ive ever seen. Great match and Lewis is a Legend.

Vitali said LL was the strongest boxer he ever fought, so that speaks volumes.
But LL is always holding back on what he thinks of Vitali.
