The reality is Mosley vs Floyd was not going to happen before De La Hoya vs Floyd. Oscar wasn't going to risk his own big payday with Mosley potentially killing his golden goose. Call it a catch 22 with Mosley and Oscar being in business together? Could be, but Mosley's never been anyone to hide from a challenge as his career has shown already. The same reason Floyd never fought Cotto is the same reason Floyd and Mosley never fought back then, hence why I don't think Floyd ever ducked Cotto more than Cotto not yet being in the right position to make a fight between them 2 a huge event.

It wasn't a duck BUT Mosley had the offer on the table and didn't take it... Schaefer himself said it in an interview which was published here... after the Baldomir fight which was in November if I'm right... he had that offer on the table... DLH said that he had the first choice... but he wanted to go on vacation with his familiy... so DLH took the fight... even though the fight happened a half year later... I think that Shane ain't needed that long for an vacation but he said NO... these are the facts... what you make of it is up to you...
