I really believe the object of the request for random blood testing and the recent accusations were all about playing mind games, as per PBF's customary pre-fight strategy. It was all about getting in Manny's head and make him blink.
Unfortunately, this all backfired when Manny refused to agree to the demands, which is his right, as he has never tested positive for performance enhancing drugs in his entire career. There was no reason to test Manny with any kind of "alternative" or "additional" testing because he has always been clean.
So why would you drive away an opponent that you think you would beat easily and make $ 40 million doing it? It doesn't make any sense.
Now the plan has all but backfired and they may have to pay up if and when Manny wins his case against them.
Floyd and his team are shaking their heads wondering where it all went wrong. They just blew $ 40 million and the chance to be on top of boxing, once again. Now that's just ****** business sense.
And here I was, always calling PBF the smartest man in boxing. Dumb, dumb move.
