Normally, an old fighter could still cherry pick a weak beltholder and make a name. Unfortunately for Castillo, though, 140 is looking pretty hot right now. The only current titleholder I'd give Castillo a chance to beat would be Urango, since he's slow, and Castillo normally has a decent chin. But the fast, active guys like Devon Alexander, Amir Khan, and Tim Bradley? No way.Comment

Castillo needs to hang em up. He hasn't had a significant win in ages. His last two fights were against some random no names, picked off the streets of Mexico and given $100 to fight. Him being as old as he is and still trying to squeeze back down to 140 is ignorant. Does he not see the beasts lurking at Jr.Welterweight? Honestly, who can he get a title from in this division? Does anyone actually think he can beat Alexander,Bradley,Urango, or Pacquiao??? Gimme a break! He's gonna get hurt. Be happy with the career you've had and retire. I like Castillo but he hasn't been the same since the Corrales war. Good luck but Im not holding my breathe on this one.Comment

Former two-time lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo says 2010 will be his year to win a world title at junior welterweight. He's been fighting at welterweight in a few of his last fights. Castillo says lightweight will be impossible to get down to but he thinks he can make 140 and still be a force. [Click Here To Read More]
Castillo once was a very good fighter... probably even underrated but his time is over... 147 is too much... and 140 is deep and talented... I don't think soComment
