A lot of poor families in these countries have big families

ps. everyone give him a break, he needs to money and is looking after his family.

Why not allow him to be confident and ambitious when he is poor

Well I for one am worried about his health. I'd hate to read about something serious happening to him in a few years because he took extra punches.

I suppose since boxing has been his life he probably doesn't have much for other job skills, which would make it extra tough.

with so many fights at a top level, one would imagine he made some money, no ? Or did he spend it all on wine and women and he just woke up from his hangover?

I think indeed he lost some money with women and all that, plus a divorce he was going through before the hatton fight. but the most of it was with the suit Gary Shaw put on him after the corrales fight. To be honest, I don't want him to take any punishment, I was in the crowd when he fought lujan and it was painfull to see how people was cheering for him and then they turned on him. Hopefully he wins that final belt and walk away as a champion.

The Lujan fight was sad to watch. Castillo just got pounded for 10 rounds and looked slow and shot. Unless he's found the Fountain of Youth, he has absolutely no chance of winning another title, even in this era when every fifth or sixth fighter holds some kind of title belt.

At his age and with his history of weight struggles, trying to make 140 would probably be worse than trying to campaign as a WW.

Going down in weight is not good for fighters at an advanced age. SRL going down to 154 vs Norris, DLH-Pacquiao at 147, even Ali weighing in at 217 vs Holmes, lighter than he had been in a few years, not only was he shot but in my opinion coming in at that weight with the aid of weight loss pills made him even more listless and helpless.

As for him fighting on, no I don't want to see it either, but the man isn't putting himself in line for ass whoopings for no reason, he obviously has someone or some people to support. So I wish him luck and hope he can get a payday before he retires, and if that means fighting Miguel and getting the hell kicked out of him in 3-4 rounds or so, if that's what he wants so be it.
