I just researched it, and you were right. Tyson's paternal grandfather (father's father) was called Kirkpatrick and he was an immigrant from Ireland who married an African-American woman.

Outside of many obvious European countries, almost all cultures are a result of a mixture of many.

Hmm I think I'd add large parts of Africa and China to that. Although even these European countries are MIXES of other neighbouring peoples over the thousands of years.
