Actually Grus. This one is gonna be cut and dry for Manny. GPB might not get anything against them, but Sr. is screwed here.I am not a lawyer and I know that this case is bull**** and
won't hold up in court. Seems to me that Manny is using
this to distract the accusations and opinions of him being
on the juice. Why didn't he just agree to take the random
blood tests? Floyd agreed to the 10MIL clause for every LB
over 147, including the gloves and the %. What is the big
deal with the blood tests? The reason why Manny won't
take it is because he wants to know when it is going to be
given? Then what's the point in having random blood tests
to keep the fighters clean if you know exactly when their
coming?
How caome Manny is not suing Malignaggi but instead
thinking of fighting him? And how come weight was such an
issue for Pac in regards to Floyd coming in over weight but
Pac is considering going up to 154 to fight Yuri Foreman?
This **** is soooooo obvious that Pac is ducking Floyd
Mayweather Jr and if many of you would take your cheerleading
skirts off and put your pom poms down you would see that
Manny messed up this fight not happening not Floyd. Watch
when it is all said and done and the smoke clear who will be
benefitting most off of this. Give you a hint, won't be Manny
Pacquiao.
Like someone said above. These accusations are completely baseless and tarnish Manny's reputation. Did you see the Cotto fight where Sr was there making statements about "you be the judge", "you said it i didn't" and so forth? That is because his lawyer basically told him to cool it because he could get his ass sued off.
He had already spread the rumor that could affect future earnings of Manny, harmed his reputation possibly forever all over a hunch and nothing more.Comment

This is total BULLSH#T! Pacroid was blaming bad socks for this loss. That's right, BAD ****ING SOCKS! The bad socks "gave him a blister and it affected his footwork". He also stayed up late watching Sportscenter too. You, like most Pac****, probably don't remember this because you didn't start watching boxing until you recently read somewhere that the Phillipines had a champion.I beleive morales beat pac fair and square, but pac was effected psychologically by the blood taken from him 24 hours before the morales fight. it has some factor into pac's loss, although imho morales was just the better fighter on that night.
the placebo effect is very powerful.
On another note, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Petrocelli the same lawyer who "represented" Margacheato at the CSAC hearings and is "working" to get his license back?Comment

The four 4 categories of slander that are actionable:
1) accusing someone of a crime
2) alleging that someone has a disease/sickness
3) adversely reflecting on a person’s fitness to conduct their business or trade
4) im*****g serious sexual misconduct. Here again, the plaintiff need only prove that someone had published the statement to any third party. No proof of special damages is required.Comment

So what , Team pacquiao has Zero evidence that he is not on PEDs or Steroids. The only way to prove that you arent is to take the Blood TestsThe news traveled fast on Wednesday. WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao made good on his promise to file a lawsuit against the Mayweathers [Floyd Jr, Floyd Sr and Roger], Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer. Pacquiao filed the lawsuit in Nevada federal court on December 30. He claims the named defendants made false and defamatory statements that accused him of taking performance enhancing drugs. Pacquiao retained Daniel Petrocelli of the Los Angeles-based law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP. [Click Here To Read More]Comment

The lawsuit seems kinda pointless cause he's suing him for $75,000 and probably legal fees. I doubt that'll hurt Floyd that much but I guess this is Manny's way of clearing his name in the court of public opinion. Bo Jackson threatened to sue a newspaper for running a false article about him using PEDs, but he offered to show all his medical history from his pro career. The paper quickly printed a retraction. I like both guys so I really hope they can find a solution.Comment

How is serious sexual misconduct involved? Maybe this story has more to it then I knew about? The four 4 categories of slander that are actionable:

Anyways I probably know more about the law then you but I am not a lawyer so I don't really care or want argue about it. Manny's side needs to prove their case all the defendents need to do is provide doubt to that case.
It is nowhere near as simple as you are making it sound.Comment
