Not necessarily,all organisations handle press relationships in certain ways.Where you work you are not allowed to talk to the press,you sign that in your contract.If you give a statement you get fired.If however there was an incident and the press approached you,you could give a statement as long as they kept you anonymous.Such things are done in cases of whistleblowing or where you thought there was a genuine public interest without joerpadising your career prospects.This is mainly how the press get their news.

im not a fan of either but as more and more we get into the testing issue the more i feel that pac is a roider....from the beginning he's been against random testing...then threatens to fight paulie, who has no shot at knocking pac out, and in my mind picked him since he knew his next fight he would be under a microscope about the testing issue....for paulie he doesn't need to get roided up.....why not show the world that floyd is full of it and gladly take the test and proclaim that he felt only way to beat him was to cheat....why not prove him wrong?
