Since the *******s think an internet poll citing Manny as the second greatest fighter of all time is valid, objective and truly reflective of where he stands in boxing history...i guess the recent article in ring magazine (owned by GBP btw) citing the following (see below) is also objective, can be taken as fact and is beoynd reproach.....GTFO!!!!




If you want to save some dough, The Ring speculates as follows:

1. Mayweather v Sugar Ray Robinson? Robinson would win "a close but unanimous decision."

2. Mayweather v Henry Armstrong? Mayweather "would win a fairly close but clear decision."

3. Mayweather v Kid Gavilan? Mayweather would win "via split decision."

4. Mayweather v Sugar Ray Leonard? Leonard would win "a unanimous decision."

5. Mayweather v Charley Burley? Burley would "drop Floyd on his way to winning a close 15-round decision."

6. Mayweather v Jose Napoles? Mayweather would win by late technical knockout.

7. Mayweather v Carmen Basilio? Mayweather speculated to prevail by "unanimous decision."

It is understood that boxing writers and fans have a natural reflex to engage in fantasy fight speculation. The problem with The Ring's article is that Mayweather is not worthy of it because of the lack of supporting evidence. There simply is no direct proof that Mayweather is an elite welterweight. Is he an elite fighter? Perhaps he is, but certainly not above 140lbs.

Such is the main difference between Floyd and the historical greats, most specifically Ray Robinson. Sugar fought everyone and most of them more than once; therefore, to use Mayweather and Robinson in the same sentence is boxing blasphemy. Ironic, that it was the "Bible of Boxing" to do so. The reality is that The Ring might be spot-on. Mayweather may well be as good as the magazine says--we'll just never know it.

GTFO man...they asked for a $10 mil per pound over 147 cluase in the contract thinking there was no way floyd would accept it and you know what.....no ****in prob....50/50...no prob....everything from Floyds side = no prob...they ask for some tests and Manny cries like a biatch when he could man up and just say yes like mayweather has been!!!!

Read what i wrote!!!!...i said a penalty should he come in over the agreed limit which is 147. Floyd was always going to agree to 147, there was never an issue there from his camp. There was never a negotiation regarding what weight class this fight would be held. Also Roach has categorically stated they will not fight at all if floyd is even one pound over 147......FYI - zero chance of that happening and Pac and Roach know it.

Given this is PBF who outsold Pac with 3 common opponents in ODLH, Hatton and JMM (Floyd vs JMM doing more PPV buys than Pacs 2 fights with JMM combined) he would have been well withing his rights to demand a 60/40 split. Pac got some leverage with the Cotto numbers hence was able to bring it down to 50/50......floyd agreed. 50% of 100 mil is better than 80% against any other opponent he could fight.

Its an issue because regardless of what he or roach have said they have not put pen to paper to that effect and until they do it is just empty rhetoric.
