Which titlist is the biggest embarrassment - Ruiz or Frank Bruno?

Ruiz for sure is the bigger embarrassment to the sport. While Bruno was limited as a boxer, his title reign was short-lived, which was exactly what it should have been given his skills.

On the other hand, Ruiz clearly has limited skills, but has held the title for an embarrassingly long time. The fact that he lost it to a blown up light-heavy makes it even worse, because it clearly shows just how mediocre he is. Having him as a major title holder for so long is IMO, a huge black mark on boxing.

There was an interview in Boxing Monthly this month with Bonecrusher Smith where he said Tyson was the hardest opponent he had as he couldn't hit him.

But when asked who was the hardest puncher he'd ever faced, he mentioned two names. One of them was Wade someone(?) and the other was Bruno. Limeys used to get excited over Bruno because not only was he a popular personality, but he DID have a big punch

As for you having amatuer well kudos to you, even if it is with heafdguard etc it takes guts to do so. I know as pracxticed wadaryu (second dan) and fought in numerous competitions so knwo what it is face fighting and be involved.

For a guy who knows something about the ring, you've shown no evidence of it in your posts. YOU should know better than a lot of guys in these forums what it means to step into the ring, but you'd never know it gievn the language you use about a guy who's had some success as a pro.
