It was action-packed and pretty dramatic with JD pouring it on most of the fight, but eventually succumbing to the slick boxing and hard counters of HoFer, JMM...I'm in.

lol, funny stuff! I remember when Diaz went down by that hard right hand an got up, he tapped his gloves like telling JMM come on! Finish what you started and went back in there to fight like a true warior, Diaz has alot of heart he took his beating like a man!

This was a fantastic fight. Probably the best fight of 2009.
Victor Ortiz vs Marcos Maidana deserves to be mentioned as well. The fight was awesome. 4 knockdowns in the first 2 rounds, both fighters down. And the upset of Maidana winning.

Maidana-Ortiz still gets it IMO. Marquez-Diaz was too one-sided until the cut.

You bet. I'd like to see Diaz back at LW. Think he's a little too small for jr welter.

I mostly find myself rooting for his opponents the last few fights, but I like him because he seems to elicit excellent performances from his opposition. He's never in a boring fight.

imo he should be at 130 but yeah 135 is a better weight for him than 140

anyways i dunno if you fellas stateside follow any british boxing but rhodes vs moore was a quality fight. two of the best of british going at it toe-to-toe. imo rhodes right now would give alot of top LMW's a run for their money.

i think martinez vs williams deserves a mention, but overall it has to be jmm vs diaz. if you want a FOTY just get to mexicans in the ring!!!!
